CRB Doors Sponsors RUCST Volunteer’s Trip To Africa
Chris Barnes presented Mitch Morton with sponsorship on behalf of CRB Door Repairs. CRB Door Repairs is a commercial partner of Rotherham United FC and has continuously supported the work of both the club and its work in the community.
The sponsorship will provide Mitch the opportunity to travel to Africa this summer along with the other Rotherham United Community Sports Trust volunteers and Africa’s Gift.
Africa’s Gift are working together with the Community Sports Trust to take a team of young volunteers to Africa to work on a school refurbishment and food growing project in a township just outside Cape Town.
The volunteers will also lead sports workshops and sharing their skills with the underprivileged children. The visit will be hugely developmental for those involved and will provide an insight to life in a very tough part of the world.
Jamie Noble, Head of Community Said “I would like to thank Chris for his amazing generosity to supporting our visit to Africa. The trip is an expansion to the work we do in Rotherham and will see 13 young people traveling to South Africa to work in a project supporting the building of a school, delivery of sports activities and the teaching of English.”
