Rotherham United Community Sports Trust (RUCST) are delighted to announce the highly popular half term camps are running once again. These camps are aimed at children between 5 and 14 years old, with the aim to give children of all ability’s the access to sport through our dedicated FA qualified coaches.
These highly anticipated camps provide a safe, fun and laidback environment for your child to reach their potential, while making new friends and developing new skills. Football, Dance, Goalkeeping, mini millers and a girl only camp are to be run by RUCST during the spring bank half term. During the camps we run prize awards, RUFC first team player visits with the chance for a Q and A, pictures and autographs.
Mrs. Helliwell whose child recently partook in a camp said “My son Kaspar has just done his 1st week at soccer school at Wickersley. He’s been to all different holiday clubs in the past few years and this week he’s had the best time doing what he loves playing football and learning new skills. As a working parent it makes my life easier knowing that my sons having a lovely time meeting new people but most of all having lots of fun. Well done to all the coaches and he’ll be back in May”
In addition to the half terms camps, RUCST will continue to run the future stars program every Saturday morning at Parkgate astro’s outdoor facility. The sessions provide children as young as 3 the opportunity to learn new football skills in a safe environment. The times for these camps are u5’s, u7’s & u9’s 9am – 10am, with the u11’s and u13’s 10:10am – 11:10am.
Mr. Craig recently reviewed the future stars program giving it 5 stars while adding “My son loves going to the camps. The professionalism and dedication of the coaches is outstanding. Every child is encouraged and supported no matter what the child’s ability. My Son always comes home every day full of enthusiasm and is up at the crack of dawn ready in his football kit! I would like to thank all of team whose hard work goes in to running these camps which really are a valuable asset to Rotherham.”
