Back to Sport Project
Rotherham United Community Sports Trust secured funding from Sport England in 2016 to work with BME communities of Rotherham and increase participation in sport. The Back to Sport project is currently in year 3 of delivery and we have worked with a total of 1299 adults, 723 of these are Female compared to 576 males.
We have a range of sessions currently available including badminton, Boxercise, circuits, netball and cycling and all our ladies only sessions are facilitated by female coaches and instructors. Click here to view our Ladies Only Sessions
Over the past couple of years we have worked with Taxi drivers, in Mosques, with parents in schools, provided sessions for refugees and asylum seekers, provided sport for students studying ESOL, ran two conferences and events to celebrate women in sport, held a Ramadan football tournament and provided training to up skill participants and ensure sessions are sustainable post funding.
