On Monday 24th September the health department will be swapping the salads for cakes in support of Macmillan Cancer Support. Running from 11am-1pm in the main stadium we will be selling buns and cakes to raise money for this fantastic cause as well as providing free tea and coffee.
Alongside the Coffee morning we will be working in partnership with Edlington Community Organisation to host a slipper swap. This is an opportunity for older adults to bring in their old slippers and swap them for brand new ones free of charge. The new slippers are antislip, and have a secure fit helping to reduce the risk of falls in the home. They’re also lovely and warm, helping to keep feet toasty as the winter months arrive.
There will be an opportunity to speak to professionals about falls prevention, winter wellness, getting active and cancer awareness.
We hope to see you there!

INCLUSION | We are wearing our shirt backwards to support Mind’s #HaveYourMatesBack campaign for better mental health in football, in partnership with the EFL. With 1 in 4 experiencing mental health problems we all know someone who needs support. Drop them a line, ask if they are ok, let them know you are there for them. It can make a difference.
