Rotherham United players have been out in force this season visiting local schools, charities and events across the borough visiting their local heroes and fans on the run up to the festive season.
The Millers players have taken part in hundreds of visits so far this season, whether it’s visiting primary/secondary schools, local events or random acts of kindness on match days they can never do enough to support their fans and local community.
Jamie Noble, Head of Community said “We are privileged to have such a good group of players, the commitment they show not only on the pitch, but to their community is second to none.”
“It’s important that players support initiatives to give it exposure and to show fans and the people of Rotherham that players care for both the community they represent and respect the town that they play for.”
“Players give up their free time to support our community and they are always happy to see the difference that football makes to people’s lives.”
Rotherham United Community Sports Trust (RUCST) works alongside Rotherham United Football Club to bring a better standard of living to various groups across the borough of Rotherham.
RUCST is a community development programme that works across the borough of Rotherham in deprived areas with different communities and age groups, delivering under the four main themes of the English Football League Trust: Education, Health & Wellbeing, Inclusion and Sport Participation.
