Following another fantastic season of weight loss and lifestyle changes the Trust are proud to be launching season 5 of Man v Fat Football.
MAN v FAT Football is a league for guys who want to lose weight. Every player is in the same situation and wants the same thing – to enjoy football, lose weight and get healthier. Uniquely, the league is decided not just on points won, but pounds lost. We give support to every player with unique resources, inspiration and 24/7 support to help you lose weight, get fitter and enjoy the beautiful game.
With over 60 men currently registered at the Rotherham league it’s not just about the football, it’s about meeting like-minded men who will become your mates and support you on your journey to a healthier lifestyle.
Emma Schofield, Health and Wellbeing manager at the Trust said: “This season saw the men of Rotherham lose a combined 184kg in just 12 weeks. With the leading weight loss player losing over 16% of his body weight and a massive 28cm reduction in waist circumference. Coupled with the increase in physical activity levels and the new ways of eating the men have really made a difference to their lives. We can’t tell you how proud we are of them.”
Season 5 will launch on Friday 19th July, 6.30pm at AESSEAL New York Stadium.

INCLUSION | We are wearing our shirt backwards to support Mind’s #HaveYourMatesBack campaign for better mental health in football, in partnership with the EFL. With 1 in 4 experiencing mental health problems we all know someone who needs support. Drop them a line, ask if they are ok, let them know you are there for them. It can make a difference.
