We are providing these fitness sessions every weekend for the remaining Sundays of the current lockdown to keep children active whilst they can’t play grassroots football.
The sessions run on Sundays from 10am-11:30am; and they include a 30 minute HIIT workout, 10 minutes of rest and 45 minutes of ball mastery.
The HIIT part of the session includes bodyweight exercises that work various muscle groups in the body at a high intensity.
The ball mastery section will include several movements and skills that will help children to develop their first touch on the ball and their overall relationship with the ball. This will therefore help children to become more comfortable in moving and manipulating the ball whilst developing their co-ordination skills at the same time.
This is a session aimed at children between 5 and 13 years old of any ability level, and is a great way to keep children fit and developing their skills while grassroots football is postponed.
All of the session is designed for participants to be able to take part in a small space in their home, or in a garden. There must be an adult present/within earshot of the session at all times.
