Seasonal Jobs

Do something amazing with your summer 2021!

National Citizen Service (NCS) is a government-funded programme that brings together young people aged 15-17 and this year engages them in a unique 2-3 week programme.

We are recruiting Team Leaders and Team Assistants to efficiently support teams of up to 15 young people over our 2 week NCS summer programmes. As a Team Leader you will have a direct impact upon participant experience and you will be expected to guide, inspire and help to develop your team of young people. You will be supported by a Team Assistant and together you will ensure the successful delivery of our NCS summer programme whilst maintaining participant enjoyment, respect and safety throughout.

What the programme looks like:

Phase 1: The young people take part in exhilarating challenges and team building activities.

Phase 2: Based in Rotherham/Sheffield, these activities and workshops are designed for the young people to learn life skills and plan their social action project for the following week.

Phase 3: The last week is comprised of 5 days delivering their planned community project within Rotherham.

Phase 4: The Graduation ceremony for young people to receive their NCS certificate takes place the following month after all programmes finish.

NCS is designed to empower young people as they transition into young adults, engaging them in activities that challenge, build confidence and develop skills. More details can be found at
