Rotherham United players have been out showing their support for the Rotherham community by visiting local schools and community groups.
This season, Rotherham United’s first team players have made a huge commitment to visiting numerous schools and community venues in Rotherham. Whether it be for our Holiday Camps in Wickersley and Parkgate, visiting local schools or getting involved at our community sessions, the players at this club do so much more for the community off the field.
The players at Rotherham United proudly support so many local campaigns through the Club and Trust. On World Cancer Day, Angus MacDonald showed tremendous support for a cause he cares so much about by raising awareness and telling his story. Ben Wiles not only enlightened us on the types of reading material he uses, he also sat down and read to a very excited Bramley Sunnyside class on World Book Day 2022. Rarmani Edmonds-Green attended a brilliant organisation called Labres Hope, who provide regular work and support for homelessness in Rotherham.
Gary Bricknell, Operations Manager said;
“The support we receive from the players is phenomenal, the continued commitment to the local community is second to none. It’s important that players support initiatives to give them exposure and to show fans and the local community the players care and respect the town they play for.”
