NEWS | RUCST selected to pilot free FA Girls Football UNITE scheme

Rotherham United Community Sports Trust (RUCST) are thrilled to announce that we have been approved to deliver the FA’s new pilot scheme, ‘UNITE’, aimed at increasing the number of 12-14-year-old girls participating in football.

This programme aims to provide girls between the ages of 12-14 with fun, relevant and engaging recreational sessions that will allow them to develop themselves as much as their football skills in a safe, inclusive environment.

The programme has been specifically designed to give autonomy, choice and voice to the girls who are involved in the sessions. By adopting this approach, young people will have the freedom to develop their social identity, become valued members of a team and build their self-confidence through engaging in fun and flexible football activity.

These sessions will be free and will run from 22nd July 6pm-7pm at Parkgate Astro Greasbrough Road, Rotherham S62 6HQ
