Success at the Millers drop in Jobshops!
Rotherham United Community Sports Trust have seen fantastic outcomes from their drop in Jobshop thanks to Russell and the teams hard work and commitment, giving unemployed people additional skills enabling them to feel confident when applying for new job opportunities.
The Millers Community Jobshop drop-in service that operates in 3 venues within the borough of Rotherham offers Training and Development, Help with CV’s, And on-line help with claims forms for Jobseekers allowance.
So far 34 people have been successful in finding employment with another 8 moving onto additional training or voluntary work, this is over a third of attendees which have visited the Jobclub.
There has been some outstanding success’s via our outreach work in Eastwood where 5 Roma Slovak men and women have gained employment or moved into voluntary work. This has been a difficult project with many barriers to overcome but with the assistance of interpreters and project workers we have been able to make a real impact and changes to people’s lives.
Jamie Noble (Head of Community) said “It’s a huge achievement for the trust, seeing the impact Russ and the team have made is fantastic, it’s very rewarding hearing all the positive feedback from the Jobshop attendees past and present”
