RUCST are aiming to crowdfund £50,000.00 to help fund the purchase of fantastic community facility in the heart of one of the most challenging area of Rotherham.
The facility will give the trust access to a state of the art building as well as an outdoor facility which will enable an extension to our educational and health provision as well as enabling the Trust to build on our inclusion work to offer more activities to the people of Rotherham as a whole.
A significant proportion of our income is spent on external facilities and as we work with some of the most deprived and poorest residents of the town, without additional support we are unable to offer the projects which have such a high impact on our participants. By having our own facility it means we are able to generate new income streams and use own resources to deliver the projects and services at a much reduced or free rate.
RUCST is a registered charity which works alongside Rotherham United Football Club to bring a better standard of living to various groups across the borough of Rotherham. Our community development programme works across the borough delivering under the four main themes of the Football League Trust: Education, Health & Wellbeing, Sport Development and Inclusion.
Through the power of football we promote physical and emotional health, healthy eating, healthy lifestyle, learning, confidence building, social integration and community cohesion.
RUCST deliver a wide range of activities that reflects the needs of the diverse communities working in some of the most disadvantaged areas of the town, the Trust has delivered activity for over 61,000 participants in the last year.
