Rotherham United Community Sports Trust and our Rotherham ladies celebrate UEFA Women’s Euros 2022

What a summer it has been here in Rotherham. The AESSEAL New York Stadium may have been the home of Rotherham United’s promotion back in the EFL Championship this year, but it has proudly been a host for the UEFA Women’s Euro 2022. Welcoming players fans and staff to our wonderful home, it was important we showed them what we’re made of and to celebrate this historic moment for all women and girls.

The trust have been providing games, activities, inflatables and entertainment in the build up to our first fixture. We wanted to give a once in a lifetime opportunity to some women we think deserved to join this huge celebration full of experiencing professional women’s football at the highest level.

Future Stars Girls

Mark White, Girls Football Coordinator invited the girls from our FUTURE STARS girls football group to wave the flag for France vs Italy. Future Stars includes football training from our experienced coaches, games & tournaments.

Ladies Walking Football

Hannah Wright, Women’s Coach treated her Ladies Recreational Team, Wathletico to a fantastic evening at The AESSEAL New York Stadium. Ladies Walking Football involves weekly sessions for any age and any experience to ease back into sport with a fantastic group of welcoming people.

Hannah Wright Said:
“This was a great opportunity for the ladies to get involved and showcase women’s football on a professional level. What we do for the community is accessible to all and we always want more people to get involved. These tickets are a recognition of the hard work our girls and ladies have put in.”

Rotherham United Community Sports Trust provide many other opportunities for women such as;
